ramona's handmadelife

Evening all!
Some of you may know Ramona Barry from the most excellent blog handmadelife (which she co-writes with Beck Jobson) or from appearing (is the right thing to describe being on the radio?) on RRR talking up crafty exhibitions. She writes, makes, exhibits, runs her own card business, was totally addicted to MasterChef and is passionate about supporting craft and the arts.
She's a star!
So what is she going to have at the Rumble?
Well, she has told me that along with her card ranges, her badges and gift tag packs, she's making a range of Xmas decorations and she is going to have the first outing of her new handmade  flowers.
You'll be able to pick up all your Xmas card needs in time to get them in the mail! And  leave some branches bare on the tree for those decorations!

the wonderful world of iggy and lou lou

Word just in from Iggy and Lou Lou.

Miss Iggy is packing a treasure box of one-off jewellery pieces, lucky last pieces from past collections and there might even be some room for some of her lovely homewares (fingers crossed, I got a beautiful bear vase at our last sale so I'm looking forward to ransacking her stock as she unpacks!).

who, when, where and why

The last studio sale we had was two years ago (can you believe it?).
Since then we have had the birth of two little boys (Ramona and Beck), a shop (me), a whole swag of fabulous exhibitions (Dell, Irene, Leah), the setting up of an on-line store (Leah of Milly Sleeping) and all the little everyday things that go into running creative businesses. And with Iggy's baby barely two months off coming into the world we thought it was about time to have another sale!

So we have the amazing Iggy and Lou Lou, the delightful Milly Sleeping, the hugely talented ladies of handmadelife, Ramona and Beck, the delicious Dell and plain ol' me.
It's going to be on Saturday the 12th of December from 10am until 4pm at Studio 9 95 Victoria St in Fitzroy. That's not Victoria Parade or Victoria St Richmond but Victoria St Fitzroy. It runs between Brunswick and Nicholson Streets, one street before Johnson Street as you head north out of the city, Red Tongue Café is on the corner.

I think that about does the who, when and where but what about the WHY?

Well we all have studios and workrooms and storerooms bursting with stuff and it's time to have a big clear out!
Stay tuned we will be posting pics and info in the next couple of weeks about what we'll have on sale.

hey hey it's a jumble sale!

So here's the big announcement!
A big pre-Xmas
Rumble in the Jumble Sale!
